Adventure Accreditation International is a new worldwide service providing standardised awards for Outdoor and Adventurous Activities and Outdoor Education. AAI offers Personal Proficiency and Professional Leadership awards in over 29 Outdoor and Adventurous Activities and 12 Outdoor Education disciplines. AAI aims to simplify the world of Outdoor Qualifications AAI Awards are modular, transferable and with simplified revalidation.
Everyone who participates in or would like to try outdoor and adventurous activities, find leaders, get training, seek companions, equipment and locations. All those who lead others in the outdoors, full or part time, paid or voluntary. Whether teaching, leading, assessing, guiding, coaching or entertaining, all Leaders, Masters and Elders have been assessed to the standard of AAI Awards and are competent and active in their chosen pursuits. AAI Professionals pledge to operate to the AAI Code of Conduct and Guidance on each renewal. AAI Professionals are also required to stay fit for their work and complete annual fitness tests and declarations that they are fit enough for the job. All providers of outdoor education and adventure sports services. This includes individual operators, clubs, shops, centers and camps, whether in a voluntary capacity, commercial or a statutory body offering services like guiding, lessons, courses, equipment hire and sales. Anyone with existing Outdoor qualifications can get them recognised by the AAI by following the process on the Transfer of Awards option in 'Register'. Check the Qualifications section to see the level of abiltity required in the AAI syllabuses, you can convert your award to AAI, and either cancel or continue with your existing award running parallel, the choice is yours. You will receive a quality, embossed A5 Certificate and your qualification listed on the AAI database. The qualification remains valid for as long as you remain registered with the AAI.
The process is simple. Once you have your AAI Registration number, gather the evidence, copies of awards, a statement summarising your recent relevant activity and a brief professional reference, attache these and email with your fee payable by Paypal. Alternatively, hard copies may be posted to the address given. Please ensure each document is clearly marked with your name and AAI number.

The AAI is run by outdoor people, for outdoor people. The outdoor environment is a precious resource which we share with other wild creatures. Having a passive role in caring for the outdoors is no longer enough. We include environmental aspects to all awards and encourage AAI people to have a positive environmental impact with every visit.
